Becoming an artist ...
Since I was young I have always had a pencil in my hand, drawing whatever came to mind. But whilst it was something that I always enjoyed doing, at school I lacked confidence in my abilities and I worried how others might view my often 'different' style of artwork.
Yet every time I considered my future, art always sprung to my mind. So I enrolled on a college course in Art and Design and it wasn't long before I finally realized my purpose, to be a creator and to entertain people with my work.
For the most part I would consider myself an illustrator, currently mostly focussed on ink drawings, though I have also worked a lot with digital art, pencils, acrylics and I also dabble in clay making.
I gain great satisfaction in applying my imagination to create unique, fascinating creatures and to bring to life characters in stories that I have previously imagined. This is, in my opinion, my best artistic quality and I also believe that I can quickly adapt to a range of different styles and mediums.
It is very important to me that my clients feel invested in my creations and that they are satisfied with the work that I produce for them, so please feel free to offer your feedback.
Thank you.
